The Process
We'll meet to discuss what you have in mind, the type of painting, and determine the size, cost, and delivery time. Before I start working on your piece, I will provide a sketch of what I plan to create for your approval. I want to ensure the final piece is just right for you. Bring your ideas to life with my commissioned painting service -- Let's create something special together!
Once we agreed on the idea, I will send a comission agreement. The deposit of 50% is due at the start of the work.
Types of Comission Work
Acrylic and Oil painting
I use a gallery-wrapped canvas for commission work. Gallery-wrapped canvases are sturdier and thicker. They are ready to on your wall without a frame.
Japanese Watercolor painting
(Nihonga)
I use Kozo washi from theagami factory in Japan as a painting surface. It is stretched on a wooden panel. You have the choice of keeping your painting on the panel for display or removing it from the panel to frame it under a sheet of glass.
Max size 30 x 40 inch.
Pricing
The comission work is priced at $16 per square inch.
The formula I use is (Height + Width) x $16 + the cost of canvas = The total cost.
What does this mean?
For example:
9 x 12 inch painting = $336
24 x 24 inch painting = $768
30 x 40 inch painting = $1120
The price includes the initial consultation and a sketch.
